The Running Skirts brand was developed in the USA by twin sisters Cindy and Christy, with them both seeing the need for comfortable technical wear for women but with an emphasis on making it fun and colourful. .
With success from the release of the original Running Skirt with integral briefs, it prompted them to develop a full range with the Athletic Skirt, Capri Skirt and Technical Tops completing the line up. You can follow their product development at www.runningskirts.com.
After visiting the Running Skirts HQ in the USA, trying the skirts & feeling how comfortable they were, Jane saw the need to run in athletic wear that was fully functional, comfy and colourful but most importantly more flattering for women.
Running Skirts UK was started by Jane in order to bring the benefit of this product to the UK market, with their first exhibition stand at the London Running Show in 2009. Jane completed the London 2010 Marathon in 5 hours 26 minutes using the Capri Skirt.
